Portfolio > Project Narcorn Installation

Project Narcorn explores the parallels between the deep sea and outer space through a video installation and sculptures. The three-channel video chronicles a deep sea diver and astronaut as they inhabit our atmosphere and transform into their avatars—a narwhal and a unicorn— and breaking into a simplified Busby Berkeley dancing scene. The narwhal and unicorn parallel each other as fantastical water and celestial creatures. The sculptural costumes, constructed of styrene (a plastic used for prototyping) and paper mache occupy the chroma-key blue gallery.
